SWIMMING POOL DROP AND VAC CLEAN UP (NO DRAINING) UP TO 100000LT

EXTREME Pool Recovery  – We can help, challenge accepted

This service is specifically designed for pools with a capacity of up to 100,000 liters, which have been left unattended for a period not exceeding six months. Such situations often arise following construction projects or in pools that have been neglected for other reasons..

Visual Condition of the Pool:

  • The water typically appears deep green to brownish, indicating a severe algae bloom.
  • There is a noticeable accumulation of floating leaves and debris, which are often in a state of decay and contribute to the pool’s poor condition.
  • Visibility is compromised in both the shallow and deep ends of the pool, with the bottom obscured by algae and sediment.
  • Dark algae, and potentially black algae, cling to the pool walls, creating a challenging cleanup scenario.
  • The floor of the pool is covered in a heavy layer of sediment, consisting of sludge and decaying organic material.
  • The water level is irregular, either too low, revealing the pool’s weir, or overfilled, complicating the cleaning process.

Treatment Process:

  1. Initial Cleaning Efforts: The service begins with a thorough brushing of the pool’s walls and floor to dislodge algae and sediment. Simultaneously, most floating debris is removed to clear the water surface and facilitate further cleaning.
  2. Sediment Dredging: Using specialized leaf rakes, the team works to remove as much of the settled sediment from the pool’s floor as possible. This step is crucial for reducing the overall debris load and preparing the pool for chemical treatment.
  3. Filtration System Maintenance: The baskets in the pool weir and pump are meticulously cleaned to ensure that the filtration system operates efficiently throughout the recovery process.
  4. Water Circulation and Testing: The pool is filled to the necessary level to enable the pump to circulate water effectively. A comprehensive water test is conducted to assess the pool’s chemical balance and determine the required adjustments.
  5. Chemical Treatment and Flocculation: After balancing the water with the appropriate chemicals, such as acid and alkalinity adjusters, a flocculant is broadcast throughout the pool. This chemical causes particles to clump together and settle, making them easier to remove. The pool is then left idle for at least one day, during which the client is advised to top up the water to the highest level.
  6. Vacuuming and Debris Removal: The initial vacuuming is performed on the waste setting to prevent recirculating the dislodged debris. Depending on the initial treatment’s effectiveness, a second round of flocculant application and vacuuming may be necessary, though this would involve additional costs.
  7. Final Cleaning Steps: After the vacuuming, the pool undergoes a second brushing of its interior and another cleaning of the filtration baskets. The water is retested, followed by the application of a shock treatment and algaecide to address any remaining algae and bacteria.
  8. Sanitization and Filtration Finalization: The sanitizer levels are adjusted to maintain water hygiene. A filter sand change is included, contingent upon an inspection of the filter system.
  9. Clarification and Handover: A water clarifier is added to enhance the clarity of the pool water. The service concludes with the pool being handed back to the client, ready for use with clear, balanced, and sanitized water.

Please note, while this service significantly improves the pool’s condition, the removal of stains is considered a separate task requiring a detailed inspection. Stain removal is most effective after the pool has been cleaned and stabilized for at least two weeks, with all chemical levels within acceptable parameters.
