Warranty:
The AQUAMAX DELUXE LED RETROFIT COLOUR CHANGING Pool Light comes with a 2-year warranty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and faulty components when the product is used under normal operating conditions. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. To process a warranty claim, an installation invoice with the electrician’s details is required.
Important Warnings:
- Ensure that the main power supply is turned off before starting the pool light installation.
- This pool light is designed for underwater use only.
- The light must always be water-cooled. Do not turn on the light unless it is submerged in water.
- It is normal for water to fill the rear portion of the light, including the rear terminal cap, as the electronic components are encapsulated by resin.
- INSTALLATION INVOICE WITH ELECTRICIANS’ DETAILS IS REQUIRED FOR A WARRANTY CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED
Installation Guide:
- Replacement of pool lights (globes) does not require draining the pool water.
- To remove the old light from the niche, carefully pry the outer face plate of the light from side to side until it comes free. Take precautions to protect the pool shell during this process.
- Wet niche pool lights usually have a coil of cable behind them to allow for reaching out of the pool water for electrical connections. Ensure there is enough cable above the waterline and cut it to join the new light cable. Test the supply cable for 12Volts AC before proceeding.
- If the copper strands on the supply cable are corroded, water may have entered the cable, resulting in voltage drop and performance issues. If necessary, replace the cable from the light niche to the deck box. Connect the new light’s cable to the old cable and draw it through the gland at the light niche into the deck box. Ensure the gland is sealed to the new cable. Remove the old cable and make the electrical connections of the new light in the deck box.
- If the copper strands on the supply cable are in good condition, join a new light cable to the supply cable using a waterproof connection system (such as the Extend O Cord Connection Kit). Test the light before sealing or adding resin to the connections.
- Coil the extra cable and press the light evenly by hand into the hole. Use a rubber hammer to tap it on the edge to insert it completely.
- Note: If your concrete or fiberglass molded housing has a pool light housing, the hole may be slightly smaller than the LED replacement light. To make it fit, use a knife to trim the plastic or sanding paper to reduce the thickness of the ribs until it fits snugly into the housing.
Not Included in Warranty: Please be aware that the warranty will be void if a voltage higher than 12 volts is applied to the product or if it is misused or abused. The following are not covered by the warranty:
- Equipment and labor provided by a third party during the product installation.
- Damage caused by an installation that does not comply with local authority standards.
- Damage caused by accidents, harsh treatment, negligence, unauthorized repairs, fire, lightning, frost, armed conflict, or any other force of nature.
Testing and Factory Malfunction Warranty: All pool lights are thoroughly tested before leaving the warehouse, and a WhatsApp video with a time stamp is included with your purchase as proof of the test. Due to the nature of the installation process, pool lights carry only a factory malfunction warranty. The lights will be tested again after being returned to the factory for a warranty claim. INSTALLATION INVOICE WITH ELECTRICIANS’ DETAILS IS REQUIRED FOR A WARRANTY CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED
For new installation in a concrete or brick wall, the light housing will be required and should be ADDED” in your selection.
