Product Description
The Premium UNI 2 Bag Black Pool Sand Filter is engineered for pool owners who demand long term durability, consistent filtration performance and structural strength in demanding outdoor environments.
Built around a 545mm UV stabilised polymer tank, this filter features multiple reinforced load bearing zones designed to withstand sustained pump pressure and harsh operating conditions over many years of use.
The tank incorporates an extra reinforced central seam, a reinforced multiport connection zone, and a reinforced upper lid band, significantly increasing structural rigidity at the areas where standard filters are most prone to fatigue or cracking.
Finished in a matte black UV resistant surface, the tank offers superior resistance to sun exposure while visually matching modern black pool pumps and fittings.
This unit is supplied with a side mounted 6 way multiport valve complete with sight glass for clear backwash visibility. A pressure gauge is not used on this model, allowing visual confirmation of backwash clarity instead.
Designed for small to medium residential pools, the Premium UNI 2 Bag filter supports multiple filter media options and delivers stable water flow, balanced turnover and dependable clarity when correctly matched to pump size.
Filter media is not included and must be purchased separately.

What pool size is this filter suitable for
This filter is best suited for residential pools between 15,000 and 40,000 litres depending on pump output, plumbing length and filter media type.
Why does this filter not include a pressure gauge
This model uses a sight glass for backwash clarity instead of a pressure gauge, allowing visual confirmation when the filter media has been fully cleaned.
When should I backwash the filter
Backwashing is typically required every two to three weeks depending on debris load, weather conditions and bather usage.
How long should backwashing take
Backwash until the sight glass water runs clear, usually between one and three minutes.
Is rinsing required after backwashing
Yes. Rinse for fifteen to thirty seconds before returning the valve to filter mode.
What does the reinforced construction improve
The reinforced seam, reinforced multiport zone and reinforced lid band significantly reduce stress cracking and extend tank lifespan under continuous pressure.
Can I use ECO Glass instead of sand
Yes. ECO Glass media is fully compatible and requires less weight while improving filtration efficiency.
Is the valve included
